Yesterday, When I was bored, I decided to play with Photoshop and started doing horrible things with photos. Accidentally, I got a nice artistic effect with hard light blending option and came up with an artistic flag of my country, Pakistan. And when I was showing the flag to my friends and told that I made that in less than 2 minutes, they all were amazed that how could I do that in such a little time and it must be the result of some ‘complex technique’ but I am not a guru of Photoshop and know merely basics of this amazing piece. In this post, I am going to reveal the secret of this design and you too can achieve vintage artistic effect. Just note the time In which you will do this. So, Here you go!

1. Grab these images I got from Stock.Xchng {The leading Free Stock Images Site} and Google Images {Click for full size view}.

2. Put both of the images in Photoshop and transform the second image vertically {to fit in the first one}.

3. When both of them are in separate layers. Give ‘old paper’ Layer the ‘Overlay’ effect and the ‘Hard Light’ effect to the ‘Guards Layer’.

3. Tada!

This is just one technique…you can try experimenting with different available effects to get unlimited artistic styles .
