iMac: Could The Concept Become Reality?

iview_front.jpg

Dreamt by the Designer Nuno Teixeira, the iMac, with a curved screen in front and another in back and cameras on both the sides. The screen on the front side of iMac has been to curvy for the reason I think is to make it somewhat ‘compatible’ with the human eye. I don’t see a stand attached to the iMac in the images which afraids me of iMac getting disbalanced by a slight wave of wind or a slight mishandled touch of your hand and then getting knocked over and damaged.

The two displays on both sides made me to think that if it’s to enable two to operate at once? And if it’s not for this, I don’t see any advantage of two displays, do you?

It’s unofficial, also being said unrealistic, have your say, will it get materialize?

Only a Mac guy would think of this!
This could be an excellent screen for use in classrooms where the teacher/lecturer could observe the smaller back screen and control the image from that side while viewers/students could observe the larger screen.
I would expect that the smaller screen could be turned off and the unit used from the inside of the curve giving an excellent wide angle easy to read viewing screen.
When can they ship me one!

Or it could be used to activate the users. When you have been sitting in front of the screen for too long, that large screen turns off for a few moments, and you have to run to the other side of the screen.

    I am kidding.

At first I went 'Wow'. Now I'm looking at it and it could quite possibly be the most useless computer ever devised.

  4. This is fantastic.

well this type of technology is possible, thanks to OLED. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcAm3KihFho) still crazy expensive right now though, to make curved screens that is. Maybe someday, when they figure out how to stabilize it.
