Apple is preparing to compete with Amazon

I read about this in a newspaper in which there has been reported about upcoming competition between Apple and Amazon. These two will be seen to compete over the e-book reader gadget, which Amazon has launched recently and named it “Kindle” and Apple is preparing for it, and Apple’s upcoming iPods will be equipped with that functionality in a way that there screens will be wider and reading will be made eye-friendly to make the reading experience like that on paper.

Through these book-reading mode iPods, one would be able to download books of his choice directly from his device, as Apple has contacted publishers across the world to get this thing materialize.

Although Amazon has already taken steps towards this technology and I read somewhere that ‘Kindle’ is cheaper in terms of price and better in terms of performance as compared to it’s predecessors, but Apple has also it’s long history of customer satisfaction, whether it be Mac or iPod.

By having these two in direct competition with each other, we should hope improvements in the ‘user-friendly element’ in e-book readers, as the survival of any company lies in the customer’s satisfaction. So, I must say that there is a ‘healthy’ competition to come which will lead towards improvement and quality.
