Two Minutes Trick: Get Rid Of Those Stupid JavaScript Prompts In StumbleUpon
With over 6 millions stumblers out there, it may be possible that you are one of them {If not, then why not increase the count to +1?} If you are using StumbleUpon Photoblog function than you might have noticed that JavaScript prompt sometimes tells you that it can’t photo blog that particular photo when you exceed the limit i.e. more than 250 KB or more than 715 pixels wide. And you might try to save that photo locally, try to shrink it down, upload it again and then it will be on your Photoblog.
Isn’t there a simpler way that would force SU to put that picture over there even if it is reaching the maximum allowed file size or width limit? There is! That is where the SU editor comes handy. Follow the simple steps below to put every picture directly in any Photoblog post you want!
1-Get the code for StumbleUpon editor first. Copy this:
<a href="put link URL here“><img border=0 width=xxx height=xxx src=”put image URL here”></a>
2-Paste the above code in the editor which is located in the favorites tab of your StumbleUpon page.
3-Now open the Image you want to Photoblog. Copy and paste its image URL and link URL in the place given in the above code. Set the width and height in a way the ratio looks fine. When will the calculator in your PC come to use?
4-After pasting, click post new blog.
5-Hey! you have just crossed the StumbleUpon Photoblog limit, where is that JavaScript prompt anyway?
With this method…you can post photos exceeding 250 KB limit. And for the image width, you have to set it under 715 pixels. But the benefit of using this method is that you can resize images in the SU editor without much hassle. If any step is not clear or you have not got the trick at all, ask me in comments.
