ALLPlayer: Media Player For Non-English Speakers
Why we use another media player if Windows Media Player is already here? The answer is because of extra features and customization which is not available in Windows Media Player. I have tried some players in the past also and found most of them more useful than Windows Media Player. With so many media players out there, the one I am reviewing now is a bit different. Being only of 2.5 MB in size, ALLPlayer has got some nice set of features including:
- Fetching subtitles from Opensubtitles.org, the no.1 website for getting subtitles
- The player has an embedded converter which converts different video formats to AVI
- Plays almost all formats like DVD, FLAC, MP3, Divx, QuickTime. I have tried some different formats and all ran smoothly
- Easy subtitles management with IQ Text®. If the subtitle is not synchronized with the film, or if it is going too fast than the film, you can settle up that issue in ALLPlayer
- If you don’t want to read subtitles, then it has the feature to speak the subtitles for you. Now you can watch films in your language!
- Capture snapshots of video scenes and save them locally
These are only some of the features I found useful. For the full list, go here. By having a look at the features, you will notice that this player is specifically emphasizing on providing subtitles facilities and this is why I recommend this player to every non-English speaker. I must say that it is worth a try. For future updates, keep an eye on the official blog.
