Use Gtalk Within Firefox Sidebar:A 2 Minute Trick!

gtalk with firefox

People use Internet for different purposes and they want to access all parts of the Internet ;) . Most of us do chat to communicate with their relatives, clients, friends etc. That’s where the part of messenger comes in. Currently, there are 3 widely used messengers known which are Gtalk, Yahoo messenger and MSN messenger. All of my friends and contacts are on Gtalk, so I use Gtalk only, but I think that using a desktop application just for messaging purpose is a bit irritating, and why not there is a Gtalk Plugin for Firefox? And today, a post from digital Inspiration fulfilled my wish of doing so. It is a little trick with which one can start using Gtalk right inside the browser, cool ain’t it?

If you want to use Gtalk within Firefox, follow these steps:

1-Bookmark this page {opens in a new window}

gtalkinfirefox4

2-Go to organize Bookmarks

gtalkinfirefox3

3-Search the bookmark in your library {If you are not logged in into Google talk client, the bookmark will be named as ‘Not Logged In’, otherwise It will Be ‘Google talk’}

gtalkinfirefox1

4-Press the More button and select ‘Load this bookmark only in sidebar’ checkbox

gtalkinfirefox2

Now open the bookmark, and it will open in Firefox sidebar. Sign In, Enjoy and never open Gtalk desktop application again!

Although the trick has been illustrated in every step to help newbies {and not so geeky people}, but in any case, if you are stuck in any step, don’t hesitate to ask me in the comments :)
