This friendship which had started with Dell’s decision to adopt AMD’s chips in it’s desktops and laptops in the second quarter of 2006, now is going to be ruined again with Dell’s decision to stop making such systems with AMDs in them. Only a few of Dell’s AMD-powered systems are available for online purchasing and buyers of these systems are told by Dell to move to retail stores. Bad luck for AMD has not ended yet after a troubled year of 2007 due to Barcelona and Phenom issues.
