AMD comes back with new hopes.

Last year was a very tough one for AMD in which the chip maker’s inability to launch it’s two processors named ‘Phenom’ and ‘Barcelona’ knocked up the bases of the company. I will not go in detail of the past matters since its good not to cry for the past mistakes and plan for a better future. Of course, lessons from the past mistakes should be learned to avoid any further troubles. For this year, till now the company has planned to launch two single-core, three dual-core and two quad-core processors.
- Single-cores:
1- Athlon BE-1640 will have the frequency of 2.7 GHz, L2 cache 0f 512 KB.
2- Athlon BE-1660 will have the frequency of 2.8 GHz, L2 cache 0f 512 KB.

- Dual -cores:
1- Athlon 4850e will have the frequency of 2.5 GHz, L2 cache 0f 1MB and DDR2 800 memory support.
2- Athlon 4450e will have the frequency of 2.3 GHz, L2 cache 0f 1MB and DDR2 800 memory support.
3- Athlon 4050e will have the frequency of 2.1 GHz, L2 cache 0f 1MB and DDR2 800 memory support.

- Quad-cores:
1- Phenom 9100e will have the frequency of 1.8 GHz, DDR2 1066 support. Expected to be launched late February or March.
2- Phenom 9150e will have the frequency of 1.8 GHz, specs not available yet but it is expected that this processor has the same specs as the 9100e and it is the B3 stepping revision to the 9100e.
