Whats new in Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon?

Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon has released recently[at the time of writing] and people are willing to know about what’s new in this latest release. So here, i gonna tell you about some new and improved features of Ubuntu 7.10 aka Gutsy Gibbon.

GNOME 2.20

This release comes with a latest version of Gnome which is 2.20.You can find more about new GNOME here.

3D Desktop Effects

Compiz Fusion is a 3D desktop effect environment [You can say Eyecandy] which is enabled by default on Gutsy. Ubuntu will detect automatically that is your hardware is capable of handling Compiz Fusion?. If yes then be happy, If no then it falls back to the normal look of Ubuntu. Additional effects can be enabled in “System/Preferences/Appearance” which is located under the “Visual Effects” tab. You can also disable the effects by there.

VISTA Keyboard Shortcuts for the "masses".

“TIME IS MONEY”. I don’t know who said this but I salute him/her on this great quote. We all want to save our time in every field of life including computing, and the popular method of this is using “shortcuts”.
