Give your image an ASCII art!

September 6th, 2007 Posted in Tips & Tricks

Who’s on the net universe dont know about ASCII art. If you are one of them who dont know this, here it is from Wikipedia.org
“American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII), generally pronounced [æski] is a character encoding based on the English alphabet. ASCII codes represent text in computers, communications equipment, and other devices that work with text. Most modern character encodings which support many more characters have a historical basis in ASCII.”

Come to the point:
Here is the website which converts your images and artworks into ASCII art. Just go there for overview, And then go to converts section and then upload your image of which you want to convert in ASCII and then enter the characters in which picture should be made of For example 1001110. Put some random numbers for a more geeky effect. Next the font size comes. The small, the sharper so smallest font size should be choose. Then the image width, this should remain to 130 and of course you are tired of those black and white ASCII and want some color then leave it on show it in color. Background should be black or any color you choose. I prefer to give extra contrast but again, its your choice and at last it comes to the web browser you are using. Geeks should say Firefox :) but if you are the one who stick to traditional IE then select it. Then after all this hard work and ‘this and that’ you can hit the convert! button.
